1. Believe the good news of Jesus Christ our Lord as recorded in the Holy Bible that:
a. He died for our sins (forgiveness of them) according to the scriptures
b. he arose again from the dead for our justification.
c. His substitutionary death for us is the means by which sinners are washed, cleansed, and forgiven sin, and justified before God.
d. He is the only way to God the Father. As a result of this belief you will be given the gift of eternal life, and the gift of the Holy Spirit who will lead and guide you into all truth.
2. Call upon the Lord for mercy and to save you from:
a. Your sins, and those of your ancestors.
b. This perverse and adulterous generation.
c. From the power of Satan to God. From darkness to light.
d. From the wrath of God which abides upon you right now as a result of unbelief.
e. From future condemnation to the lake of fire for all eternity.
3. Believe that Christ:
a. Is now alive and seated at the right hand of the Father.
b. Has all power and authority given to him in heaven and earth.
c. Is coming again to judge the living and the dead.
4. Confess your sins.
a. "All have sinned and come short of the glory of God."
b. "Whosoever says they have not sinned is a liar and the truth is not in them."
c. "Sin is transgressing (breaking) the law of God."
d. "Whatsoever is not of faith is sin."
e. "To know to do good and not do it is sin."
f. "All unrighteousness is sin."
g. "If we confess our sins He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness" through the shed blood of Christ our Lord on the cross.
5. Repent (turn from sin).
a. "Except ye repent, you will all likewise perish," as says our Lord.
b. Through the Holy Spirit we are able to mortify (subdue) the evil deeds of our bodies.
6. Submit to God the Father
a. By obeying Christ, His only begotten Son. "Why call me Lord, Lord and obey not my teachings?" says the Lord.
b. We are called upon to deny ourselves, take up our cross, and follow Him.
7. Pray (talk) to God through Christ, and to Him only. "There is one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus." Start early in the morning before getting involved in other activities. Pray throughout the day, and at night before bed.
a. Pray without ceasing.
b. Cast all of your cares and concerns on Him for he cares for you.
c. Have faith in God. Without faith it is impossible to please God.
d. Pray for all men (including woman and children, and especially those of the household of faith). Pray for all who are in authority.
e. Give thanks and praise to God.
f. Watch and pray for all christian believers.
g. Pray for your family
h. Pray for the peace of Jerusalem
i. Pray for the persecuted Church, etc.
8. Openly confess Christ as your Lord and Savior, and spread his word and teachings to all who will listen; make sure you start with your family first. This is what Christ our Lord says, "Whosoever will be ashamed of me, of him will I be ashamed before my Father which is in heaven, and the holy angels".
9. Read the Holy Bible daily. God reveals His will for us through it. "All scripture is given by inspiration of God for doctrine, reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness that the man (or woman) of God may be perfect (complete)". Start reading early in the morning, and as often as you can during the day, and at night before bed.
10. Seek God's face, and attend a bible believing church where the Word of God is preached in its proper context to
a. Worship, Adore, Thank, and Praise God
b. Fellowship with other believers
c. Continue growing and developing to maturity in grace and the knowledge of Jesus Christ our Lord.
d. Get personally involved in supporting the work, labor, and ministry of the Lord's Body (the Church) by
1. Praying for the Church, its pastors, elders, deacons, missionaries, evangelists, teachers, leaders of the various ministries of the church, and their families.
2. Exercising your spiritual gift or gifts, whatever they may be, in service to others (especially those of the household of faith)
3. Reaching out to those who are lost by sharing the gospel with them (personal evangelism). Start with your family, relatives, friends and neighbors first; then your city, state, and nation second; then reach out to the rest of the world. Don't forget to reach out to Israel who is God's chosen and peculiar people through whom God used to give the world the Holy Bible and through whom Jesus Christ our Lord came.
4. Financially support the work, labor, and ministry of the Church (including the pastoral staff, and other ministries) through tithes and offerings.
